They make cheap box extensions that are basically a piece of stamped metal with a slit in one side that can be installed without de-terminating the device. Just remove the receptacle, slip the conductors through the slit in the side and reinstall it flush with the surface. The pictured steel 1 gang box extension seems to work best from the options I've found, in that it matches the dimensions/footprint of the original and has about the right depth to bring the box to the surface of the 2nd layer of siding.
