It is a 16volt transformer for a security system. It's probably in a nearby closet. I'm guessing Ademco by the look of it. It is kinda new. After about 8+ years they tend to yellow from their own heat. You would be looking for a metal box about 1 foot tall and 3 inches deep mounted on a wall.
