So why are so many US based electricians (primarily residential from what I’ve seen) opposed to Wago snap lock connectors vs wire nuts? I ask because it seems like most of UK and European electricians are all for the Wago style connectors and takes up less room in junction boxes and receptacle boxes.

You need to remove the lower part of the dash on the side that has the stuck air blend door, for the passenger side, that is the glove box and the trim panel that glove box mounts on, the driver's side, the lower knee panel.. Cut a hole in the distribution box to remove the blend door. Try and find a replacement door and replace it without removing the entire distribution box. Reassemble blend door.
