Diagnosis was a bad front control module (FCM); backordered, and would need to be programmed by dealer when it finally came in. No. TIPMs were used on the 2010-2012 HDs. The TIPM was basically a BCM and fuse/relay box combined as one unit. Starting in 2013, they separated the unit and use a power distribution center (fuse/relay box) and a BCM located up behind the brake pedal. The trans relay receives direct battery power. When the relay is turned on, it feeds 12V power to the TCM (and to the trans). Loss of the 12V power to the trans will give you full limp-in mode (4th gear only, in Drive), and in fact the TCM commands limp-in mode by turning off the trans relay (the TCM controls the relay). I have an '03 Ram 3500 (standard trans.) and suspect I need to change the Power Distribution Centre, due to misbehaving lights. I believe my current PDC is Part No. 68005474AB. It costs C7 from Dodge..! If I go looking at the scrap yard / auto wreckers, which year models' PDC will also work on my truck? Would it be any '03 - '07 PDC / fusebox?
