the most cost effective option (if your flex duct is in good shape & sizing/layout is right) would be to mastic seal each duct at the plenum and supply box, then to strap the ducts off the attic floor. sometimes installing a longer/bigger plenum will provide room to space the ducts out so that they don't touch each other. can you post pics yet?
